Empowering Success Together
By invitation:
Nominated by two active members
Membership of the European Society of Temporomandibular Joint Surgeons is by invitation.
The Society brings together clinicians with recognised expertise and a sustained professional commitment to temporomandibular joint surgery. Membership is intended to support high clinical and scientific standards, encourage professional collaboration and advance knowledge within the speciality.

Nomination
A prospective member must be nominated by an active member of the Society and receive a second, independent letter of nomination from another active member. The nomination process is the formal route into membership. Individuals cannot apply independently without the support of two active members.

Invitation and nomination must be supported by evidence that the candidate meets the minimum requirements established by the Society.
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an appropriate combination of:
- training and experience relevant to temporomandibular joint surgery;
- a substantial record of clinical practice in the field;
- commitment to high standards of patient care;
- scientific, academic or educational contribution;
- professional standing and recognition within the speciality; and
- willingness to support the aims and activities of the Society.

Review and Approval
Completed nominations will be considered in accordance with the Society’s constitution and membership procedures. The Society may request further information before reaching a decision.
Successful candidates will be informed of their election and advised of the next steps, including any membership subscription and administrative requirements.
